Overview

  • I have an itch for technology, i love it. In high school I participated in a Cisco Computer Networking, vocational course. It was 3 Hours a day for 2 years (Junior and Senior years). Unfortunately I have never been able to follow that interest, and since I am looking for a job change, this is the first field I will look.
  • An internship in this field would be a dream come true, and a great opportunity. I would have to be crazy not to send my resume !

Objective

  • After 1000 hours of Cisco training from 1999-2001, I know this field. I might be a little out of date, but at the rate technology changes it is not hard not to be. I order a lot of products online and try to keep my PC up to date, rebuilding and upgrading. After spending the past 4 years in a job I am bored with, I am ready to look for employment in my favorite field, Technology !

Shift Manager

  • In Ohio, Checkers are called Rally's. I started as just a low level crew member and within 2 months was Shift Manager, managing people that were working for years before me. Duties of a Shift Manager at Rally's/Checkers are:
    • Managing my crew members and making sure we have enough product ready and people on the clock. Also sending people home for the day if they were not needed, to keep costs down during unforeseen slow times.
    • Knowing all positions in the restaurant and be able to train new workers in all of them (2 main positions for crew members were cashier and kitchen), but also knowing the food preparation methods for all products.
    • Counting all cash/credit card receipts at the end of the shift, then depositing it into the bank.
    • Customer service. Resolving any customer complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
    • Ordering and receiving all the products for the restaurant.

Bet Against the Spread Sports Handicapping Service (BetATS)

San Jose, CR

Odds Manager

  • In August 2006 i took what was supposed to be a long vacation to Costa Rica. After a few months I met my current wife and have been here ever since (leaving every 90 days by law). Eventually I had to get a job, and found this office in San Jose. Bet ATS Handicapping service has been around since 2004, it contains a team of professional bettors who sell memberships for sports picks. My division of the business was making sure all the odds we had on any sport were correct compared to other services, if they differ greatly, I let my boss know. Basically it is a desk job, sports are a big part and I do watch my fair share here, luckily I like sports so it's not too bad. The main reasons I want to leave are the pay (around 24k/year), the job is boring, and my wife and I would like to move to the U.S.
